Tokyo Auto Salon 2013 - RE-Amemiya

RE-Amemiya. 20B NA europa. You think he could have used Exige lights at least. A bit lazy in his old age.

Tokyo Auto Salon 2013 - Advan

It's been a while since we have seen the Advan Wheel designer's personal car at TAS.

Tokyo Auto Salon 2012 - Bucky Nats

Yep it's an FD from those nutty students at the NATS school.

I saw this roof profile from a distance... I thought. "Wow! something new...!"

Even the side view looked promising.

Then I got closer and started looking... Eh? I wasn't sure what to think.

Ancient skyline tail lights.

How can you not laugh. You can't take school too seriously. Maybe it'll be in a parade one day.

Tokyo Auto Salon 2012 - SGC D1 7

RE-Amemiya and SGC have had a strong relationship for a few years. It came from Super GT but extended to Drift.

This is the second D1 car transformed into the M7 Replica (note blue interior) that now wears Singapore Changi Motorsports complex livery. D1 & Imamura actually run these colors since the black FD was retired.

Since my rendering of a possible Rauh-Welt FD3s with Porsche frontal styling I've been a bit fascinated with this beast.

The reason being these front fenders would be required to accommodate any massive wheel combo.

The drift machine uses the AC037 body kit + these fender extensions as the relatively low offset wheels are fitted with crazy drift knuckles and lower arms that really widen the track a lot. Steering is also effected for quick response at maximum angle.

At the rear, the curves continue to form something ....

Sexier?

Yes, definitely!

The SGC girls are quite the distraction.

Sometimes that's a good thing, because the rear of the D1 cars really aren't good.

at least the horrendous rear centre exhaust housing has been cut away for tyre smoke to exit.

These cars produced by RE-Amemiya are polarizing designs that express the wild image that is D1.

Details are everywhere on this car as you would expect. Built to Drift.

Tokyo Auto Salon 2012 - Scoot.

If anyone can't pick this bonnet, they aren't an FD Fan.

Scoot is as synonymous with 4 rotors these days as it is with that curvaceous bonnet.

Yes 2.3 litre capacity. A little bigger than stock.

I've covered this car many times on the site, but its very special and it was a surprise to see it at TAS actually. Option's stand was not in the main hall, but in the smaller stadium area.

Styling is a controversial as what the neighbours will think of the sound this thin makes after a midnight auqua line run. Recentlt Koseki san doesn't run this on the street much letting the shaken expire.

I've never actually asked what this is for. Real or not.

The attention getter is always under here. The NA engines sit so low in the FD.

Carbon shrouds the view of the block. so you can't count 1,2,3,4

Scoot's suspension is one of their specialties after starting in F1. Recently Super GT gets support from scoot.

The custom airbox keeps the engine bay looking balanced an simple.

Lights are based on RE-Amemiya buckets with upgraded bulbs.

Scoot body was a collaboration with Tamon Design

Mirrors are unique with custom LED and the interior features the Defi DSSC cluster flocked dash and more. Doors a vertically opening half size. It's quite simply to get in to, sitting on the sill is easy, then drop in.

Enkei TC4 wheels keep an elegance to this speed freak.

Up front scoot calipers and custom brakes help haul this car to a standstill.

Want a 4 Rotor for your machine. Give Koseki a call.

some LONG bolts.

And superbly balanced rotors.

The car was parked in a bad position for photography. Damn ugly feed car in the way... haha.

remember that poster... See you at 7's day
