FD2JZ

2Jz into FD3s = insane drift on the limit!

I don't care if you are a die hard rotary fan. If you can't open your mind and enjoy this, then you are hard to please indeed. Definitely my favourite car at the Mazda Tuning Festa 2012.

While I'm not the biggest fan of itaishya amine styling, there's soo much going on with this beast that you can't help but enjoy something about it.

Or the great driving that goes with the sexy nights style. Excuse some shots... I want you to see a lot so I haven't limited my shots to two or three.

Fast in a straight line. The back straight even looked fun!

But it was any corner that received this kind of punishment.

Are you devoted all the speed?

 Suddenly the beast slowed.

Devotion has it's consequences.

Welcome to Drift.

Delamination. SE37 K are awesome in pink. they are soo bright my camera had a real problem with these.

in the pit i had a good look around the car.

Here's one for you Horsepower lovers. Reliable and cheap big power. 3000 VVT-i 2JZ with V-Mount.

It kind of fits.

Bonnet line is a little compromised.

The rotary gods are not happy!

But this makes me smile! nothing like the screamer pipe exiting about 1M from your ear. Wind down the window, you might get see your own flames!

The bonnet is quite creative. no vents required. Just a massive hole! Air intake is quite direct.

A couple more shots of the wastegate pipe.

And the fenders. I'm not sure if these are Free-Style, Kazama or Amemiya. Maybe a mix of all.

There's a lot of ingenuity on the car. hard mounted spoiler uprights with extension plates for the RE-Amemiya Wing. Sanai Works diffuser, Some canards and a stock rear bumper always looks good with a widebody.

A little Japan Love and sharing.

Drift Junkies and Team Niyan. Kind of Me-ow in Japanese.

the damage of course makes it real.

No doubting the target function.

And here we go for the second session with Orange TE37's on board.

One of the few sideways all the way to link this on the day.

Kenji Takayama was the only other linking this straight with maximum attack.

There's something about the helmet also. cool! Reminds me of old Japanese Anime. G-Force.

Re-Commence Shredding!

By bye tyres...

Niyan-san runs Body Shop New Type in Chiba and has had this FD3s for 10 years

Most of that time it's been drifting and he's gone through his share of 13B engines.

The search for reliable big shredding power has created this beast.

And he and the car do the job very well.

Sexy Nights team includes Suzuki-san and guys were running a bit of side by side for a few laps.

This shot is a good one.

The switch back

But as the rotary needs a cool down, the beast powered on.

with it's colorful display.

I was really enjoying it.

Later in the day, the boys moved to the front straight and were linking the main straight under full power. Sometimes too much.

Suzuki-san... where are you going? There is a corner!
